Georgia Military College's Jenkins Hall was selected as the winner for the 2020 Excellence in Rehabilitation Award, which recognizes projects that make compatible use of a building through repair, alterations or additions while preserving features of the property that convey its historic value.
The 140,000-square-foot Exhibit Hall BC, which is the Authority’s first major expansion in 18 years, serves as a fixed passageway between Building B and C and creates over one-million square feet of seamless exhibit space. Kennesaw State University and the Georgia State Financing and Investment Commission broke ground on a new Academic Learning Center(ALC).
The $22.1 million, 43,000 square feet science building will be three floors that will feature state-of-the-art technology and designated areas for students to gather and study. The new space will allow the University to expand the science program by offering a concentration in forensic chemistry and accommodate the increasing demand for science education courses. The Integrated Science Complex will be located at the corner of Montgomery and Wilkinson Streets across from Herty Hall. Completion is slated for late spring 2021.

Carrollton, Ga. – (September 13, 2019) The University of West Georgia and the Georgia State Financing and Investment Commission broke ground on Roy Richards Sr. Hall, which will be the new home of the Richards College of Business. This project, which will utilize both State bond funds and private donations, exemplifies the school and local community’s dedication to expanding the resources for student education.
Milledgeville, Ga. – (October 24, 2019) The Georgia State Financing & Investment Commission recently completed the renovation and expansion of Georgia Military College’s Jenkins Hall. Georgia Military College hosted the ribbon cutting ceremony in honor of the completion and showcasing the upgrades.
After breaking ground in 2017, the Georgia State Financing and Investment Commission (GSFIC) completed a 76,000 square foot expansion of the Whitfield Murray Campus at Georgia Northwestern Technical College (GNTC) with a budget of $29.8 million. On Friday, September 20, 2019, GNTC hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the opening of the facility with Governor Brian Kemp in attendance.
Dalton State College celebrated the grand re-opening of the Gignilliat Memorial Hall on Thursday, September 5, 2019 with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. Gignilliat Memorial Hall was built in 1969 and currently houses the School of Business with over 800 students.
