The Georgia State Financing and Investment Commission is responsible for the proper application of proceeds from general obligation debt and the issuance of all public debt by the State. No agency or authority can incur debt or employ other financial or investment advisory counsel, without Commission approval.

Director of Financing and Investment

Diana Pope is the Director of Financing and Investment for the Georgia State Financing and Investment Commission. The division’s main responsibility is to provide funding for the state’s capital projects through the issuance of general obligation bonds; over $25 billion has been issued since the Commission’s creation in 1974.

Jenkins Hall at Georgia Military College wins 2020 Excellence in Rehabilitation Award

Georgia Military College's Jenkins Hall was selected as the winner for the 2020 Excellence in Rehabilitation Award, which recognizes projects that make compatible use of a building through repair, alterations or additions while preserving features of the property that convey its historic value.


GWCC's new 1,000,000 sq. of contiguous space now open

The 140,000-square-foot Exhibit Hall BC, which is the Authority’s first major expansion in 18 years, serves as a fixed passageway between Building B and C and creates over one-million square feet of seamless exhibit space. Exhibit Hall BC serves as a catalyst for next level growth for the GWCCA campus, as the agency aims to continue to attract the country’s largest conventions.
