Diana Pope

Director of Financing and Investment

Diana Pope is the Director of Financing and Investment for the Georgia State Financing and Investment Commission. The division’s main responsibility is to provide funding for the state’s capital projects through the issuance of general obligation bonds; over $25 billion has been issued since the Commission’s creation in 1974.

State Property Officer

Marty Smith serves as Georgia’s State Property Officer, and is the Executive Director of the Georgia Building Authority and State Properties Commission, and the Director of the Georgia Financing and Investment Commission, Construction Division.

Carrollton, Ga. – (September 13, 2019) The University of West Georgia and the Georgia State Financing and Investment Commission broke ground on Roy Richards Sr. Hall, which will be the new home of the Richards College of Business. This project, which will utilize both State bond funds and private donations, exemplifies the school and local community’s dedication to expanding the resources for student education.
