Southern Crescent Technical College Breaks Ground on New Henry County Center

Southern Crescent Technical College held a groundbreaking ceremony to construct the future 35,000 square foot Henry County Center. The estimated project cost is 8.4 million. The facility will include general purpose classrooms, a Cisco networking lab and academy program, computer classrooms, life science labs and a MRI/CT simulator for graduates who already have obtained radiography certifications.
The design has targeted a 60% reduction in power consumption over the national average for similar educational buildings. The intent of the design is to be a LEED certified silver building.
