Director of Communications

Katy Pando was named Director of Communications for the Georgia Building Authority, Georgia State Financing and Investment Commission and the State Properties Commission in April 2008. She is responsible for the communications, marketing and public relations strategies for the three state agencies.

Originally a newspaper reporter and editor, Pando brings with her experience as the public relations manager and associate director of marketing for the Georgia World Congress Center, the Georgia Dome and Centennial Olympic Park.

A graduate of Leadership Georgia and active in professional and civic associations, Pando earned her bachelor of arts degree in sociology and English from Stephen F. Austin State University in Texas.
