The Georgia State Financing and Commission approved the appointment of Ms. Ridley to serve as the Director of Financing and Investment on June 12, 2008. Prior to joining GSFIC, Susan served three years as Deputy Director for the Governor’s Office of Planning and Budget and one year as OPB’s Director of Planning and Technical Support. Having begun her state career in 1994 as a grants manager for the Department of Community Affairs, Susan later served as Assistant Director of the OneGeorgia Authority and then as Legislative Director for Lieutenant Governor Mark Taylor. Susan returned to DCA in 2003 and served as Director of Economic Development.
Prior to joining state government, Susan taught English at the Institute of Optice and Fine Mechanics in Changchun, People’s Republic of China. Susan received a Bachelor’s degree from Georgetown University in Theology and International Relations and has completed two years of graduate studies at Georgia State University.
